How to Choose the Right KitchenAid Stand Mixer

There's several KitchenAid stand mixers on the market, and it can get confusing to just look at the names.  So how do you know what the best stand mixer is for you?

Well, first you have to think about your kitchen and the uses you will have for that mixer.  For instance, where will it sit in your kitchen?  Some stand mixers are too heavy to be moved in and out of a storage space.  Others need room to tilt the head back.  How often will you use the mixer?  If you won't use it often, an entry-level machine like the KitchenAid Classic stand mixer might be fine.  But if you will be using the stand mixer regularly for a family, it might be better to look at a larger model like the Artisan stand mixer.  Will you be making bread regularly?  If so, is it whole grain  or white?  The larger machines such as the Professional 600 Series stand mixers have a special dough hook for handling heavier doughs.

Once you have thought about these things, it's time to compare KitchenAid stand mixers.  The chart on that page allows you see the models compared side by side, making your job of choosing the right KitchenAid stand mixer that much easier.
